Tamina Wins Her First WWE Tag Team Championship with Natalya on SmackDown
Natalya and Tamina faced the Women’s Tag Team champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on the go-hone edition of SmackDown(14/5/21). The match was billed as a “monumental match” ahead of WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday.
Nia and Tamina started things off as Reginald distracted Tamina. Natalya and she made some quick tags and dropped Shayna. The ‘Samaon Princess’ dropped Shayna into a Samoan Drop as Natalya covered for the pin. Unfortunately, Reginald distracted the referee as the pin went into loss.
Nia and Tamina fought outside the ring as Jax Samoan Dropped her cousin into the Barricade, two weeks in a row. Reginald got sent to the locker room as Shayna tried to cover Natalya in the time but failed.

Back from the break, Tamina still recovered from the Drop as the champions dominated the ‘Queen of Harts.’ Tamina came back into the ring and broke a pinfall of Nia as she dropped Shayna onto them. She then came in to face Shayna.
The one-half of the Tag Team tried to manipulate Tamina’s ankle, but the latter went in for the Superfly Splash. Nia came in and tried to subdue Tamina’s splash into a suplex. Shayna tried to interrupt the spectacle of the Samoan Princesses.

However, Natalya was not having any of it. She not only pulled down Shayna, but suplexed her into the barricade to prevent any further distractions.
Natalya then went in to help Tamina with Nia’s domination. The latter performed a Samoan Drop onto Natalya. But Tamina quickly took advantage of the situation and hit the Superfly splash to win the title for the first time.
This was Tamina’s first major title win in her decade-long career. Following the victory, both women were interviewed. Natalya dedicated the victory to everyone who dared to dream despite being told “their dream has passed them by. It is never too late to keep fighting fot tyour dreams.”
Tamina thanked the WWE universe for their constant support and her family. The SmackDown stage erupted in fireworks as the two women celebrated their victory.
