A Place In The Sun’s Laura Hamilton has jetted off to Portugal as she resumes filming on the Channel 4 property show.
The 39-year-old presenter expressed her gratitude at being able to travel abroad amid the pandemic and can’t wait to help a couple find their dream property on the Costa da Caparica, a 26km coastline of glorious sandy beaches.
‘Feeling VERY grateful this morning as I fly to Lisbon (a first) to start filming again with @aplaceinthesunofficial,’ Laura penned, as she posted a picture of her standing with her suitcase in tow.
‘I’ll be helping a lovely couple find a home on the Costa da Caparica and I can’t wait to meet them later for our House Hunter drinks!
‘Thank you to everyone who has continued to support the show not just over the last 12 months but since it began. It wouldn’t be as successful as it is without YOU!
‘Also a BIG shoutout to the amazing production team and @channel4 who are making this happen.’
Laura added that she and the A Place In The Sun crew will be abiding by strict Covid-19 safety protocols while filming.
Speaking in a video posted on her Instagram Story, she revealed she had to sign a declaration of international travel form and present a negative PCR test upon arrival in order to get into the country.
‘There’s a lot more paperwork,’ she said. ‘But it’s worth it.
Laura’s excitement comes just weeks after she hit out at rumours that she was considering quitting the Channel 4 series, saying the false reports ‘upset’ her.
The property expert, who has starred on A Place In The Sun since 2012, said: ‘I didn’t even say I was looking to leave.’
‘In fact I had a conversation with my boss because it really upset me and I never ever said I was looking to leave. Why would I?’ Laura added Entertainment Daily.
A Place In The Sun airs weekdays at 4pm on Channel 4.
