David Benavidez Wants to “F***up” Caleb Plant, Aims to Fight Canelo Alvarez

The undefeated super middleweight prodigy, David Benavidez, has put himself in a similar bracket to the P4P king Canelo Alvarez. He has vowed to dismantle IBF champion Caleb Plant in a possible showdown.

24-0 as a professional, Benavidez doesn’t hold any world title at this stage. So, he might have to wait for the shot till Alvarez and Plant square off for the undisputed championship. However, Benavidez is already eager to fight Canelo Alvarez, as he backed the Mexican to vanquish ‘Sweethands’.

In a chat with ESNEWS, ‘El Bandera Roja’ said, “I don’t think he will fight [Caleb] Plant first. I think Plant fights Canelo first. But I will f*** Plant up, I will f*** Plant up easy and Canelo f*** Plant up too. So, I think the only great fighters are me and Canelo. I mean everybody can get their ways but like you and all the greats they say, the best fight with Canelo is David Benavidez.”

Meanwhile, Caleb Plant has claimed something very different. The IBF titleholder, who had his eye on the Alvarez vs Saunder fight, seems to have found some flaws in the unified champion’s game. Although Caleb Plant has hailed Alvarez’s win, he still expressed himself as the favorite in the mix.

While Alvarez and Plant seem ready to lock horns, Benavidez is also an elite contender on the 168 lbs roster. So, the winner between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant might have to defend their titles against David Benavidez.
