I Can See Your Voice has reportedly been renewed for a second series after enjoying a ‘runaway success’ on BBC One.

The Saturday night show is currently in its first series run, having first arrived back in April.

It sees host Paddy McGuinness task Amanda Holden, Alison Hammond and Jimmy Carr with sorting great singers from the not so great, all without hearing a note.

As the MailOnline reports, I Can See Your Voice will be back for a further series after achieving 5.1million viewers with its most recent episode.

A source said: ‘Due to the incredible ratings success of I Can See Your Voice, which has brought some much needed fun and laughter to Saturday night prime-time television, the show has already been recommissioned for a second series.

‘Amanda and Alison’s genuine on-air chemistry has proved to be a ratings winner with the [latest episode] peaking at 5.1 million. It’s a runaway success!’

The show, which is based on the format of a South Korean programme, sees the celebrity panel attempt to eliminate bad singers from a group of six people based purely on instinct.

Each episode features six mystery singers, with contestants working with the celebrity judges to win a cash prize.

After ruling out as many as possible, they’re left with one final singer. If the last mystery singer has a good voice, the contestants win £10,000. If they have a bad voice, then the singer wins the money.

Each week the show welcomes a guest star, with the likes of Nadine Coyle, Ronan Keating and Heather Small taking part in the first series.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that judge Amanda is reportedly set to star in a new Channel 4 series following her success with rival broadcasters the BBC and ITV.

The BBC declined to comment when contacted by Metro.co.uk.

I Can See Your Voice continues on Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
