‘They’re Fighting in the Stands!’- Daniel Cormier Interrupts UFC 262 Commentary as Fans Start a Brawl in the Stands

The UFC was the first promotion to put on live sports way back last year when the pandemic was raging. Although it received a lot of criticism, Dana White and his team marched forward and continued to entertain the fans as they held events at the UFC Apex and Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

However, fights at the UFC Apex or Fight Island without any fans always felt incomplete. White stated that just as they were the first to put on live events during the pandemic, they would be the first to welcome back fans to an event in full capacity. They did just that at UFC 261 when the promotion sold out in Jacksonville. UFC 262 in Houston was the second event since last year to have a full capacity crowd.

Pandemonium at UFC 262

A few clips shared on social media showed something interesting happening during the fights tonight. While Lando Vannata took on Mike Grundy, an all-out brawl erupted in the stands.

While the fight was going on, Cormier interrupts commentary to point attention towards an all-out brawl going in the stands. In the video, fans in attendance can be seen fighting with each other as security tries to pull them apart. A similar situation happened a few weeks back when Chris Arreola took on Andy Ruiz Jr. Multiple brawls broke out in the stands and fans had to be thrown out of the arena.
