Jordan Spieth brought up his first PGA Tour victory in nearly four years with a win at the 2021 Valero Texas Open. Spieth reigned supreme for the 12th time on the PGA Tour and later credited his wife for playing a major part in helping him scale success. In fact, it was Spieth’s first victory on the tour since he married his high-school sweetheart Annie Verret!
Annie Verret does not come into the limelight often, but she’s been a constant pillar of support to Jordan Spieth. The pair have been together ever since they were high-school students. They’ve indeed come a long way and still have miles to go.
Spieth and Verret got into a relationship after they met each other in high school, and held strong even when they both attended different colleges.
Jordan Spieth married Annie Verret in 2018
Jordan Spieth got engaged to his high-school sweetheart in 2017. He proposed to Verret over the holidays and the couple got hitched in Texas the very next year.
Spieth and Verret tied the knot in November 2018. However, Annie Verret had gained massive fame in the golf community way before the marriage as she was always out on the golf course supporting Jordan Spieth.
Verret has been through Jordan Spieth’s ups and downs in his PGA Tour career. Spieth can be seen celebrating with his girlfriend at various events from the past, but the Valero Texas Open triumph marked his first as a married man.
“My wife has been just a rock to me. This is my first win since we’ve been married so it’s been progressing this way since maybe December. Before that, there were a lot of tough times,” Spieth said after winning the Valero Texas Open.
“She’s just been that person that said, whatever you need to do, I’m here to support you,” he mentioned about his wife after breaking his 1,351-day winless drought.
Jordan Spieth said that his wife is “unbelievable” and it has helped him come a long way in his career. He’s been able to learn a lot from her, as Annie Verret is a champion in her profession as well.

Verret has achieved great things through different organizations
Annie Verret went to Texas Tech University and majored in business. She then turned into an event coordinator and has since been working for a lot of good causes.
Verret began working for ‘The Birthday Party Project’ in 2017. The non-profit organization strives towards celebrating the birthdays of homeless children across 11 different cities across the United States.
The organization has been featured in multiple leading media outlets and has celebrated the birthdays of over 13,000 underprivileged children.
Verret was also an event coordinator at the ‘First Tee of Greater Dallas’ a campaign aimed at providing educational and golf lessons to children. It is supported by the PGA Tour, The Masters, and the PGA of America.
Jordan Spieth and Annie Verret are both successful in their respective professions. They lead a great life as well, and the couple currently lives in Dallas, Texas.
