AT&T Byron Nelson Prize Money: How Much Did Jordan Spieth Win at TPC Craig Ranch?

The AT&T Byron Nelson concluded on Sunday after four days of grand action. The tournament’s new venue saw everything over the weekend: from low-scoring rounds to treacherous rain, everything added to the drama. As for Jordan Spieth, he was unable to win the event but announced his return to “tournament golf” with a solid performance.

Spieth began his AT&T Byron Nelson 2021 campaign by sharing the lead after 18-holes. He, however, could not sustain his good touch with the putter in Round 2 and shot a 2-under 70. But Spieth was roared on by his hometown crowd at TPC Craig Ranch and the three-time major winner just had to deliver. 

Jordan Spieth finished T9 at AT&T Byron Nelson

Jordan Spieth was expected to reach the winner’s circle at the AT&T Byron Nelson, but a few factors deprived him of doing so. However, a T-9 finish is impressive and Spieth will take it any day. 

Spieth was tied with three other players for the ninth spot, and it brought up his fourth consecutive Top 10 finish this season. Furthermore, the 27-year-old also earned a generous payday with this finish. 

The AT&T Byron Nelson awarded a total prize pool of $8.1 million in 2021. While champion K.H. Lee took home the major share of the prize money, Spieth received a six-figure payout for his performance. 

Jordan Spieth and the three other golfers who finished ninth on the leaderboard, each received a payout of $212,625. With this payday, Spieth’s career money earnings jumped up to $44,944,195.

Spieth is confident about his game ahead of the PGA Championship

Jordan Spieth has won every major tournament on the tour calendar except the PGA Championship. If he wins the latter, Spieth could become one among the handful of players who’ve achieved the career-slam.

“I guess I got back into tournament golf. Played well, hit a lot of good shots. You know, rusty mistakes here and there, and then I just didn’t putt as well as I would like to. So stroke was a little off to start, and I’ll work on that for next week for sure,” Spieth said when asked about the PGA Championship.
