Boxer Stephen Fulton Mimics Jake Paul’s ‘Gotcha Hat’ Moment in the Ring

It seems that Jake Paul’s recent ‘Gotcha Hat’ moment with Floyd Mayweather became blatantly famous with fans and fighters around the world. Recently, the WBO super-bantamweight champion, Stephen Fulton, mimicked ‘The Problem Child’ while he was inside the ring to confront Brandon Figueroa.

Figueroa recently defended his super-bantamweight titles against Luis Nery. And his long-time foe, Fulton was ringside for this fight. As ‘The Heartbreaker’ won this fight, Fulton went inside the ring to congratulate him.

Speaking to Showtime Boxing, he said, “Hell of a performance. I’m tall, I’m tall. Hell of a performance. I predicted it… It’s my time now. I’ve been waiting for this moment.”

The anchor asked Fulton whether he has some additional message for Figueroa. He responded, “I do, gotcha hat.”

“We’re gonna put up a hell of a performance to the WBC, WBA champ, I’m coming, I got the WBO baby!”

‘Cool Boy Steph’ is an absolutely comical fighter who enjoys taking a dig at his opponents. That said, he saw this as an opportunity to paint shots at his rival, Figueroa. Although the WBO super-bantamweight champ had some words of wisdom for ‘The Heartbreaker’, he still didn’t spare him from his light trash talks.

Moreover, the undefeated Fulton expressed his interest to touch gloves with Brandon Figueroa for a gigantic title unification fight. He seemed in the most ideal mindset to go toe-to-toe against the Texas native in his next outing.

Stephen Fulton vs Brandon Figueroa set for September 11

Fulton and Figueroa are all charged up to box each other in a 12-round war. The duo is in their absolute primes and this is just the ideal time for them to battle each other out.

Furthermore, a fight between these two will pave the way for more such exemplary matchups in the future at the 122-pound landscape. With that, it’ll be interesting to see who among the two comes out on top and solidifies his boxing reign.

What do you draw off Fulton’s mimicry of Jake Paul? Do you envision ‘Cool Boy Steph’ winning the biggest fight of his life against Brandon Figueroa?
