Keith Lemon shares rare picture with his mum as pair are finally reunited as lockdown begins to lift
Keith Lemon has shared a rare picture with his mum Pat when they saw each other face to face as lockdown restrictions begin to lift in the UK.
Like many people the Celebrity Juice host was unable to see Pat during lockdown, but with the news that hugging family is now allowed Keith jumped at the chance to visit his mum.
He posted a photo on Instagram of them together at her home wearing big smiles, happy to be back together for the first time in a while.
The presenter also said he was looking forward to getting back out and watching a movie on the big screen, as cinemas are allowed to reopen from today (May 17).
Keith said: ‘Finally reunited with my lovely mum! Have a great Monday! Right let’s get to that cinema! Then the pub, and theatre!’
Keith – real name Leigh Francis – and Pat are close and she has often been a part of his TV programmes, including The Fantastical Factory of Curious Craft.
Although Pat has appeared on his social media, he rarely talks about his family – including wife Jill and their two daughters – even carrying out interviews as his big-hatted alter ego.
He recently revealed that his friends mocked his dream of moving to London and getting a job in showbiz.
He said on That Gaby Roslin podcast: ‘The best thing is enjoying your job, no matter what your job is. I feel very lucky that I came to “that London” and it happened.
‘Because I remember when I was in Leeds and I said to my mates: “I’m going to go to London and work in telly” and they all laughed: “Ahh Keith thinks he’s going to be on telly!”
‘And luckily, touch wood, I’ve had a pretty good career. I’m still here.’
