Katherine Kelly leads the cast of the latest intriguing series of Innocent, with the second instalment of the drama airing this week.
After the events of the first episodes, the show is focusing on a brand new mystery, with the drama centering on a completely separate storyline.
Right at heart of the series is Katherine’s character Sally Wright. Sally is a schoolteacher who becomes embroiled in a scandal after being accused of having an affair with her 16-year old pupil, Matty Taylor.
When Matt is stabbed with a broken bottle, Sally finds herself convicted of murder after coming under suspicion.
The second series follows on from the first instalment of the acclaimed show, which told the story of David Collins, played by Lee Ingleby, who had spent the last seven years in jail for the murder of his wife, Tara.
Just as in the first run of episodes, the focus is then placed on the main character as they are released unexpectedly from prison and forced to rebuild their life.
Sally is the central character of series two – but what has actress Katherine been in before?
What else has Katherine Kelly been in?

The actress, 41, also played Lady Mae in the ITV drama series Mr Selfridge. She also played DI Karen Renton in the second series of Liar.
