‘My Name Will Ring Bells’: Jon Jones Vows a Huge Return to UFC
Former UFC light-heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, is currently on the sidelines. ‘Bones’ vacated his 205 lbs last year in a bid to prepare for a potential move up to the heavyweight division of the UFC. However, he and the UFC are far from agreeing on terms regarding payment. That has left the former champion’s future in jeopardy.
Jones has been very active on social media lately. Recently, he interacted with the fans on Twitter. A fan asked Jones about the timeline of his next fight and who is he going to fight. “I’m really not sure when I’ll be fighting next, but some downtime after a decade of wins is a nice little change up right now,” Jones responded.

Jones has dominated the light-heavyweight division for the better part of this decade. From being a young promising contender to becoming the youngest champion in the organization’s history, ‘Bones’ has done it all. He has faced a row of legends and a host of up-and-comers, establishing himself as the G.O.A.T of the UFC.
Jon Jones says his name will remain in the history of combat sports
Another fan suggested that ‘Bones’ is making himself irrelevant among the UFC fanatics with his recent inactivity. Jones took notice to that and suggested his name will glitter in the history of combat sports forever. “Impossible, my name will ring bells in the combat sports world until the day I die and after. My first fight back is going to be huge no matter when it is,” he replied.

It is true that what ‘Bones‘ has achieved over the course of his career in the UFC is unmatched. His accolades speak for themselves. And, he will in fact go down as the greatest fighter to ever grace the UFC Octagon even if he doesn’t fight again inside the UFC Octagon.
But, fans want to see him fight soon again. It’s almost been over a year since he has last fought. So, it only makes sense that he resolves those issues with the company and fights again as soon as possible.
