RHOBH’s Garcelle Beauvais hints RHOA’s Porsha Williams is faking engagement to Falynn Guobadia’s ex for storyline
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’s Garcelle Beauvais has raised her suspicions about Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams’ shock engagement to Falynn Guobadia’s ex-husband Simon.
Fans of the Bravo franchise were left stunned last week when Porsha revealed she was not only in a relationship with her former friend’s ex – but that they got engaged after just a month of dating.
As far as Garcelle is concerned, this speed at which this is all taking place seems a bit too convenient.
During her recent appearance on The Real, the 54-year-old suggested it was all being done so Porsha could have a good stroyline in the next season.
The actress explained: ‘She went to the girl’s house and she brought her sister and a friend. They smoked hookah together so I don’t know what the girl code is if you know somebody, went to their house and then you take their man.’
Garcelle doesn’t believe the 39-year-old ‘took’ Simon Guobadia from Falynn, 31, but she did have an issue with how little time there was between Simon’s two relationships.
The RHOBH star questioned: ‘A month you guys? A month? First of all, he’s recently divorced.
‘There hasn’t even been time to reflect, to see what did I do wrong, what did he do wrong, what did she do wrong? And then all of the sudden, we’re engaged? I mean, it sounds to me like it’s a storyline for next season.’
Porsha previously stressed Simon had filed for divorce from Falynn before their relationship started, and insisted that she and her co-star ‘are not friends’.
The TV star shared a loved-up photo of her and Simon cuddled up together on a boat as she said: ‘Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most.
‘For all of you that need facts, I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them.
‘Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled. Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives.’
She went on to praise her ex Dennis McKinley, the father of her two-year-old daughter Pilar Jhena, for co-parenting with her and Simon.
‘Simon and Dennis are committed to being respectful and supportive of my happiness in this situation, as well as being the best co-parents they can be to baby PJ. Two black men stepping up and being amazing people-let’s praise them!!!!
‘It’s truly a beautiful moment in my life & we cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together.’
