“Watch Out Olympia”: Former Wimbledon Champ Marion Bartoli Warns Serena Williams’ Daughter About Tennis Rival
Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., the three-year-old daughter of tennis queen Serena Williams, has already gained a mass following. However, she already has a future rival in Kamilya, the five-month-old daughter of former French player Marion Bartoli. Recently, the 2013 Wimbledon champion Bartoli shared an adorable picture of her infant daughter on Instagram.

Marion Bartoli gives a friendly warning to Serena’ daughter Olympia
Post her Wimbledon glory, the former World No. 7 Marion Bartoli retired from her professional tennis career. Later, in 2020, she announced Kamilya’s arrival with her husband, Yahya Boumediene.
In the Instagram post, the five-month-old Kamilya is wearing a pink jumpsuit. But more than her adorable attire, her mini tennis racquet won the hearts of netizens.
Notably, the tennis racquet company Babolat made the mini-version of Bartoli’s Wimbledon racquet. The Frenchwoman thanked them and also introduced Serena Williams‘ daughter Olympia to her future rival.
“Watch out, Olympia Ohanian, I am coming for you… in like 16 years or so,” Bartoli wrote. “Thank you, Babolat, for my special Wimbledon edition racquet, it matches well with my outfit.”
Interestingly, Olympia has a head start on this promising rivalry as she has already begun her training. She trains with her mother, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, and has inherited all her confidence.
Before retirement, Bartoli met Williams on four occasions on the WTA Tour, where the latter won three times. In their fifth meeting, the American professional withdrew.
Currently, tennis fans are still supporting the 39-year-old American, who is chasing her record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title.
Serena Williams targets the French Open 2021 title
Serena started her 2021 clay-court campaign at the Italian Open 2021 but lost her opening match. However, she has come back to her winning ways at the Emilia Romagna Open 2021.
Additionally, the three-time French Open champion is confident of doing well in Paris. The only real obstacle is the demanding fitness level for two weeks on red dirt.
For the same, Serena has put in an entire month getting ready for the French Open 2021. Also, her match experience in Parma, Italy, will play a vital role in Paris.
