‘We Can Make the Fury-Joshua Fight for November or December’- Bob Arum Plans to Stage Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3
The entry of Deontay Wilder in the ongoing title ride has put a lot of doubts over the heavyweight unification fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Former titlist Wilder has won an arbitrary case to bag his third meeting with Fury and seems to surpass Joshua in getting a shot at ‘The Gypsy King’.
While matchmakers could have paid Deontay Wilder to step aside, Top Rank Kingpin Bob Arum doesn’t seem to take that step. Instead, he seems fine with postponing the bout against Anthony Joshua, to conclude the Fury-Wider rivalry.
Hence Bob Arum has planned to put Tyson Fury against Deontay Wilder in July and then stage the All-English unification bout with Anthony Joshua. The 89-year-old has made the statement and hasn’t given a slight chance to Wilder about beating Fury. Speaking with ESPN, the veteran Promoter opened up on his plans.
“We’re not paying Wilder to step aside. It’s better to get rid of him and go about our business. We can make the Fury-Joshua fight for November or December,” said Bob Arum.

Per the Top Rank chief, they have already secured Allegiant Stadium as a location for Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3. So, the matchup will probably happen on July 24. As Deontay Wilder appears ready for the biggest test of his career, the heavyweight division has seen a fresh twist in its tale.
Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder- Can ‘The Bronze Bomber’ bounce back?
Both Fury and Wilder haven’t fought since their last meeting on February 22, where Wilder suffered the maiden loss of his professional career. It was a one-sided affair as Tyson Fury took out his American rival under seven rounds to claim the WBC gold.
Wilder didn’t accept the defeat straight and tried to justify it under several parameters. He blamed his own corner for being a double agent and accused Tyson Fury of cheating. But none of them were credible enough and ‘The Bronze Bomber’ went silent on his boxing career.
Nevertheless, he has hired Malik Scott as his new boxing trainer and seems to have begun an active training clash. While it has been over a year since his last fight, Deontay Wilder is now looking to regain his lost WBC crown from Tyson Fury.
