Amanda Holden loses it live on Heart Breakfast Show as listener reveals dead pet mouse clamped to their lip
Amanda Holden couldn’t contain herself as she hosted the Heart Breakfast Show this morning, bursting into laughter during a segment on animals.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge and co-host Jamie Theakston asked listeners to get involved and share their stories of moments when they were confronted by an animal.
However, it’s clear that the 50-year-old wasn’t quite expecting the responses to be quite so wild – as a fan opened up about the moment their pet mouse was clamped to their lip.
Yes, seriously.
‘I had a pet mouse when I was little,’ she read out. ‘I went to kiss it and it bit my lip, and then it died of shock.’
It was at this point that Amanda absolutely lost it, and burst out laughing while trying to read the rest out.
‘Unfortunately, when it died its jaw locked and I had to go to hospital with a mouse attached to me,’ she said through giggles.
‘Hospital or vet? Is that a true thing? I’m just seeing this person with a teeny tiny mouse squished…’
To be honest, we’re on Amanda’s side with this one.
It was recently revealed that the star would be back on our screens soon, fronting a brand new secret project.
She started out on shows including Kiss Me Kate and Cutting It, before landing a judging role on Britain’s Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell.
And it has been claimed that she will be heading ‘back to her TV roots’ for a ‘top-secret brand new show format’.
‘Everyone wants a piece of Amanda right now,’ they told The Sun.
‘She’s become the golden girl of TV and radio over the last 12 months.
‘Amanda has never wanted a handcuffs deal from any one TV channel and it’s paid off because she’s going to be the first person to work across all three major UK channels.’
Someone just make sure there are no mice around…
Tune in to Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on weekday mornings, from 6.30am.
