ATP to Add a New Event in the USA to a Jam-Packed 2021 Tennis Calendar

Unlike most of last year, tennis tournaments have been up and rolling in 2021. Fans are enjoying their favorite tennis events on TV, while a percentage of them are also allowed in the stadiums. Moreover, they are now looking forward to a new tennis tournament in Dallas, Texas, this year.

In 2020, the coronavirus outbreak put the tennis season on hold. Amid the crisis, many tournaments saw a postponement or even a cancelation for the first time in many years, and this included the Wimbledon Championships.

However, the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open, gave the 2021 tennis season a flying start. As the season progresses, fans might experience all the tournaments and more.

Dallas to host a tennis tournament for the first time since 1989

Dallas, Texas, has not hosted a professional men’s tennis tournament in 32 years. But in 2021, it will mark its comeback on the ATP Tour for the first time since 1989.

The news of a new tennis tournament in Dallas came to the fore on Twitter. However, an official announcement from the ATP is still pending. Naturally, fans are eager to know more details about this Dallas event.

Most importantly, the tournament is in the United States; thus, it is most likely to be a hard-court event. With a jam-packed tournament list, it might also have to share dates with other tournaments.

The announcement of a new tournament is always exciting for players and fans. Moreover, if it is an ATP 250 event, then young talents might find an extra opportunity to prosper on the men’s tour. Hopefully, this will turn out to be an event that is here to stay for several years.

For now, the top tennis players are looking forward to the second Grand Slam of the year, the French Open 2021. It facing a week’s delay this year, and the organizers are willing to host a huge crowd in Paris for this edition.

Roland Garros in Paris, France, will host the second Grand Slam tournament of 2021. It will open on May 30, 2021, and will include the top players. Inarguably, the record 13-time champion Rafael Nadal will play as the favorite.
