Coronation Street signs Ackley Bridge hunk Sam Retford to play Emma Brooker’s new love interest
CORONATION Street have signed Ackley Bridge star Sam Retford to play Emma Brooker’s new love interest.
The actor will play doctor-in-training Curtis in the ITV soap later this month after a run in with Emma’s dad Steve.

Next week on Corrie Sam makes his debut as Curtis.
Emma will be left delighted when a good looking young man offers to help her move some barrels into the Rovers cellar.
Things quickly move on and before she knows it she’s enjoying a drink with the hunky newcomer.
Steve, however is less than pleased to discover Emma having a drink with Curtis.

He recognises him as the hooligan who knocked him off his bike causing him to come last in the charity fundraiser.
But it’s clear Emma has a glint in her eye – and Steve notices it.
He later tells her that he intends to put things right with Curtis.
Curtis meets up with Steve who apologises for his behaviour.
And when Curtis reveals he’s got an interview at the bistro, Steve offers to give him some pointers.
Later, Steve and Emma put Curtis through a mock interview.
