‘Flat-out Miracle’: NBA Analyst Pokes Hole into LeBron James’ Self-praising Post
Lakers’ LeBron James is everything an NBA player aspires to become, and more. Now in the 18th season of his incredibly consistent career, the man has achieved everything that a player can achieve. That includes his millions-strong fan base but also his hundreds of thousands of haters.
Some call him LeBron while some others tag him as LeFraud; NBA analyst Skip Bayless seems to fall in the latter category if his series of potshots at Bron are anything to go by. He recently took another dig at the NBA star.
Skip Bayless tried his best to shame LeBron James
Recently, LeBron James took to Instagram and surprised his fans with a post that spoke highly of his own accomplishments over the decades. With a Statmuse post that described his numbers and put him way ahead of Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant, Bron made his point.
Skip Bayless, a very outspoken and often controversial NBA analyst, analyzed this post and put forth his opinion. The 69-YO took a sarcastic dig at the Akron Hammer and wrote, “I agree with LeBron. It’s flat-out miraculous that he has averaged at least 25 points a game for 17 straight seasons, considering he’s a lousy three-point shooter and even worse free-throw shooter, especially late in close games. Congrats, Bron. This is a real tribute to you.”

Are the claims made by the NBA analyst true for the Lakers’ hero?
When it comes to LeBron James’ long-range shooting, the fact is that he has consistently increased the average number of attempts in the past five seasons. As a result, his average 3PA of 3.7 in 2016 (when the Cavs won the NBA Championship) has grown to 6.3 in 2020-21. It’s true that his career 3-point made average stands at a low 34.5%, but his FG% of 50+ makes up for the deficit.
The free throws are where one can agree with Skip Bayless because that’s one weak area for the L-Train. His FT shooting has deteriorated with the Lakers and is below 70%. That is still not as poor as Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 65.8% in the last two seasons, but it is shameful in front of Steph Curry’s 91.6% in recent years.
And yes, LeBron has missed some clutch opportunities in the recent seasons, but he has been a noteworthy playmaker in those important possessions.
So was Skip Bayless correct in his assessment of LeBron?
