If you’re one of the many millions of viewers glued to the screens each time a new series of Love Island airs, you might have thought ‘that’s a bit of me.’

The new series of Love Island – its seventh – is expected sometime later this summer, with sources suggesting it is set to premiere in late June and continue throughout July and August.

It’s also set to be the ‘biggest show’ in its history as bosses ‘prepare to splurge’ to make the show return with a bang after a hiatus.

A source told the MailOnline: ‘Crew members are scheduled to fly out to Majorca on June 20 – with the series expected to launch a week later. The delayed launch date will not have an impact on the length of the series, with the show still running for a duration of eight weeks.’

If you could see yourself sipping cocktails by the pool, getting hyped over a text, and maybe finding your true love on national television, what’s stopping you from applying?

Well, your age, might be one factor. Is there an age limit for Love Island contestants and how can you apply to be on the show?

How old do you have to be to apply for Love Island?

Any hopeful Islanders must be at least 18 years of age.

There is no maximum age limit specified, but the oldest ever Love Island contestants (so far) have been the ripe, wise age of… 31.

Jordan Ring, Marcel Somerville, and Paul Knops were all 31 years old when they entered the villa in series 1, 3, and 4, respectively.
