Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two Blu-Ray set to have Injustice trailer

The Injustice movie details were secretly revealed with no formal announcements from DC or WarnerMedia. Yesterday, the company revealed a press release for Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two which arrives on July 27. The press release included the bombshell revelation of the project’s existence. Along with that, it also mentioned that the Long Halloween Part Two Blu-Ray set will also feature a trailer for the Injustice movie.

Batman: The Long Halloween, Part Two releases on July 27 for digital, but the Blu-Ray will arrive on August 10. With the Injustice trailer premiering in August, it seems like the movie might arrive before the end of the year. Other than that, the press release didn’t have any other details, so it’s unclear whether it will use the plot of the video game or the prequel comics.

It will feature Batman as well, which would mark another appearance of the caped crusader outside of the comics. With an animation and a live-action movie launching within the next 12 months, it seems like the character is in almost everything. Other than that, he even features on the storyline of Fortnite with the Batman Zero Point comic.

The DC Injustice series

The Injustice series started out as a fighting video-game developed by NetherRealm Studios. The game titled Injustice: Gods Among Us, released in 2013 with rave reviews from fans and critics.

The series is set in an alternate universe where Joker tricks Superman into killing pregnant Lois Lane and five million Metorpolis citizens from a nuclear bomb attack. Superman turns psychopathic after this event, who then kills Joker in revenge. Five years later, the Kryptonian rules the planet with utter ruthlessness and no mercy to criminals. Batman then recruits the Justice League from another universe to intervene and save the planet from evil Clark Kent.

The second iteration of the series titled Injustice 2 released in 2017. The game revolved around Batman as he tries to rebuild his planet after the death of the Evil Superman. Along with that, the series also featured prequel comics written by Tom Taylor and Brian Buccelato, which showcased the story of these characters in the five years between the death of Lois and the JL’s intervention.

Fans will know more about the plot of the movie following the release of the trailer. Injustice is one of the most popular storylines in the lore of DC. With a truckload of character at its disposal, fans can’t wait to see an animation adaptation of the world’s greatest superheroes.
