Cody Garbrandt is scheduled for a bantamweight clash against Rob Font at UFC Fight Night: Font vs. Garbrandt this weekend. Ahead of their bout, we look at every time the former bantamweight champion got knocked out inside the UFC octagon.
Cody ‘No Love’, who has a professional MMA record of 12-3, has lost all his three fights via T/KO. Two of these came against T.J. Dillashaw and one against Pedro Munhoz.
Cody Garbrandt vs T.J. Dillashaw 1
In 2017, Garbrandt was the UFC bantamweight champion. He became the champion when he claimed a spectacular unanimous decision victory over Dominick Cruz at UFC 207. For his first title defense, Cody ‘No Love’ stepped inside the octagon against T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 217.
Dillashaw, 2-0 in his last two fights, wanted to extend his run.
The challenger landed a brutal right hook that dropped Garbrandt in the second round. Subsequently, he went for the kill and rained punches from the top position, prompting the referee to step in and stop the fight.
Dillashaw won the fight via TKO in the second round and became the new UFC bantamweight champion. On the flip side, it was the first professional loss of Garbrandt’s MMA career.
Garbrandt vs. Dillashaw rematch
After Garbrandt lost his title against Dillashaw, the UFC gave him a rematch at UFC 227. ‘No Love’ wanted to reclaim his belt, but the champion, Dillashaw, had other plans for him. He claimed an even quicker T/KO win to stamp his authority on the division. The finish came at 4:10 of round 1, following a brutal knee and punches.

Garbrandt’s third consecutive TKO loss
After suffering two consecutive TKO losses, Garbrandt, who needed a win to put himself back on the map, faced Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235. Munhoz, who secured a spectacular T/KO over Bryan Caraway, was a heavy favorite for the fight. Furthermore, he was 2-0 in his last two fights; ‘No Love’ was 0-2.
The fighters, who traded blows, were evenly matched in the start. However, ‘The Yong Punisher’ connected with a right hook, thereby taking control of the fight. As he dominated with no response, the referee stepped in and ended proceedings, condemning ‘No Love’ to his third consecutive T/KO loss.
