Call of Duty ‘80s Action Heroes update – what’s new?

Call of Duty is unleashing a brand new event update called 80s Action Heroes.

You’ll be able to get a new Rambo Operator bundle, which includes MACV-SOG soldier John Rambo as a playable character.

That will be in the store until 9pm California time on June 18.

You also get two Finishing Moves, three Legendary Weapon Blueprints, a Calling Card, an Emblem, and an Epic Watch and Charm.

But that’s not all: You can also get Die Hard star John McClane as an Operator too.

“A hard-bitten cop on the streets of New York, John McClane has a talent for being in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Activision explained.

“Now in the fight of his life, he’ll have to rely on his cocky attitude and level head to stay alive.”

He’s available as part of the Die Hard bundle, which runs until 9pm California time on June 18.

You get the Operator plus a Finishing Move, three Legendary Weapon Blueprints, a Calling Card and Emblem, an Epic Watch and Epic Charm.

Warzone is also changing as part of the update – for a limited time only.

Iconic Die Hard locale Nakatomi Plaza is moving to Verdansk’s Downtown.

It’s the tallest single structure seen in Warzone, including five floors of a space familiar to Die Hard fans.

This replaces the Broadcast Tower and surrounding blocks, and comes with optional new missions.

Other new points of interest include ten Survival Camps across the map, as well as a CIA Outpost in Verdansk’s northwest corner.

There’s a new Limited-Time Mode called Power Grab, a Killstreak called Combat Bow, and the re-introduction of Black Ops’ legendary Ballistic Knife.

Cold War is getting two new Multiplayer maps: Stand-off (6v6) and Duga (Multi-Team).

There’s a new game mode called Die Hardpoint, as well as Rambo’s Gun Game (in week two) and Multi-Team Elimination.

Call of Duty ‘80s Action Heroes release date – when is the update out?

The new Call of Duty update is available from May 20.

But early-access content is available from May 18 in Cold War and May 19 in Warzone.

You should be able to download the new update right now.

And if you play Call of Duty Mobile, you’ll be able to access an ‘80s Action heroes event from May 20 at 5pm California time – or early on the morning of May 21 in the UK.
