Katie Price brands Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten ‘nasty piece of work’ in scathing attack
Katie Price branded Johnny Rotten a ‘nasty piece of work’ in a scathing attack ahead of Danny Boyle’s Sex Pistols biopic.
The 42-year-old starred alongside the rocker – real name John Lydon – on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, with the pair having huge rows during their time in the jungle.
And it seems the mum-of-five hasn’t forgotten about the drama 17 years later, taking aim at the musician on Instagram.
Sharing a screenshot of an article about the rocker being left out of Danny’s upcoming series, she didn’t hold back.
‘He is a nasty piece of work I witnessed it in the jungle,’ Katie captioned the post.
The former co-stars famously didn’t get on while appearing on the ITV series in Australia, with John branding her ‘talentless’ and a ‘parasite’ in a huge rant in the Bush Telegraph.
The musician recently made headlines after he slammed Danny’s Sex Pistols biopic as the ‘most disrespectful s**t’ he’s ever seen.
The filmmaker is overseeing a new FX drama, simply named Pistol, which tells the story of the notorious punk band and their incredible rise to fame.
However, John isn’t impressed by the whole thing, and claimed that his consent wasn’t requested for the project.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, he said: ‘I think that’s the most disrespectful s**t I’ve ever had to endure.
‘I mean, they went to the point to hire an actor to play me but what’s the actor working on? Certainly not my character.’
He also said that his consent and participation were not requested, but a spokesperson for Pistol added to the publication that Danny had contacted John through his management company – stating that direct contact had been declined.
Pistol will be based on the memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol by guitarist Steve Jones, and is currently in production with Maisie Williams heading up the cast.
The Game of Thrones favourite is playing punk model Pamela Rooke, with Louis Partridge taking on the role of Sid Vicious, Jacob Slater cast as Paul Cook, Anson Boon starring as Johnny and Toby Wallace appearing as Steve.
