Roger Federer to Headline at Halle Open 2021 With Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, and Others
Roger Federer didn’t enjoy a great comeback on the ATP tour. Making his return to tennis at his home at the Geneva Open 2021, the Swiss Maestro lost in his very first match. Playing against Pablo Andujar, even though Federer exhibited some great skills, he lost the match in three sets. However, despite all this, there is some positive news for his fans.
Roger Federer has recently confirmed his presence at the ATP 500 Halle Open 2021. Popularly known as the Noventi Open, the tournament is a lead-up tournament to the Wimbledon Championships and Federer hinted earlier as well that he would play in Halle after playing at the French Open 2021.

As the tournament didn’t take place last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Roger is still the defending champion there. He is also the most successful player in the history of the tournament as he has won the title 10 times in his career so far. In 2019, he defeated David Goffin in the finals in straight sets to clinch the trophy.
Roger Federer’s priority is Wimbledon 2021 at the moment. He hasn’t had a great record on clay in the recent past and is not targeting Roland Garros right now. However, there are doubts about whether the Swiss Maestro can conquer Halle even at the age of 39 or not.
Other players who confirmed their presence at the Halle Open 2021 apart from Roger Federer
Besides Federer, there are some other big names as well who will surely be playing at the Halle Open this year. The list includes the likes of Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Alexander Zverev, Roberto Bautista Agut, Pablo Carreno Busta, David Goffin, and Hubert Hurkacz. As Novak Djokovic will not be playing. Medvedev will begin as the top-seeded player at the tournament.
The tennis event will begin on June 12, 2021, and will extend till June 20, 2021. Apart from Federer, fans will also be looking forward to watching Zverev- who is a 2-time runner-up of the tournament.
As of now, Roger Federer will head to Paris for the French Open 2021. He last won the major in 2009 but fans still have a lot of expectations from the Swiss Maestro. Will Federer be able to beat the odds and succeed at Roland Garros this year?
