Ashton Kutcher’s twin brother Michael has spoken about his displeasure that his famous sibling publicly talked about his cerebral palsy.

While starring in That 70s Show in 2003, Ashton spoke during an interview about his brother’s condition but Michael was not impressed has he had purposefully never spoken about it publicly before.

During an appearance on Thursday’s Today Show on NBC, Michael said: ‘I was very angry. Very angry. I remember speaking to him about it. I didn’t want to be the face of CP. I never talked about it.’

However, Michael was later asked to speak about his life with cerebral palsy at a gala in his home state of Iowa.

He met a mother and her five-year-old daughter who suffered from a severe form of the disorder and he felt compelled to speak out.

Michael said: ‘I was finally ready to tell my story and I knew because of my twin, I’d have a big reach.’

Ashton’s sibling was three when he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy after he suffered developmental delays.

And he said Ashton was quick to jump to his defense when they were younger if other children picked on him.

Recalling an incident when he was being bullied, Michael said: ‘My brother picked a fight with them. He stood up for me. He wanted them to treat me with respect. And that meant a lot.’

The condition affects between one and four of every 1000 children and Michael has previously spoken out about the difficulties he’s had as a result.

He told The Hill: ‘I have limited mobility in my right arm and my right hand.

‘I have a very mild case of cerebral palsy. I wear glasses; I wear a hearing aid; I have slurred speech.

‘To the naked eye, many people don’t know that I even have cerebral palsy because it’s so mild.’
