Singer Olivia Rodrigo has revealed who her dream collaboration would be amid the hype surrounding her angsty new song Good 4 U.
On Friday evening, Olivia, 18, made an appearance on BBC’s The One Show to speak to co-hosts Alex Jones and Ronan Keating about her career.
Having starred in Disney Plus series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, the musician achieved a number one hit with the release of her debut single Drivers License earlier this year, which she recently performed at the Brit Awards.
During her video chat with Alex and Ronan, the Boyzone singer put a viewer’s question forward to Olivia, asking if there’s anyone she would like to collaborate with.
‘Oh my gosh, so many people. I don’t know. I could list like, 10 names,’ she responded.
‘I’m really obsessed with Charli XCX and I think she’s an incredible songwriter, so it’d be really cool to write with her.’
Several fans expressed their support for the idea of a collab between the artists.
‘!! @Olivia_Rodrigo just said she loves @charli_xcx in her One Show interview… the taste is immaculate,’ one person tweeted.
‘charli xcx and olivia collab? yes pls @Olivia_Rodrigo,’ someone else wrote.
Today, Olivia dropped her debut studio album Sour, which features Good 4 U and Drivers License.
The album also includes Traitor, a track that many fans think could be about her ex-boyfriend Joshua Bassett.
Olivia and Joshua, 20, play a couple in the Disney Plus High School musical series and it was rumoured that they were also dating in real life.
However, it’s believed that they broke off their relationship, with Joshua then being linked to fellow Disney star Sabrina Carpenter, 22.
The music video for Good 4 U features Olivia burning down the bedroom of an ex, with the song featuring the lyrics: ‘Well, good for you, I guess you moved on really easily, you found a new girl and it only took a couple weeks.’
Emotional ballad Drivers License became the fastest song to reach 100 million streams on Spotify.
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
