Orange Cassidy Names WWE Legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson As His Favourite Wrestler

Orange Cassidy is never a man of many words but don’t be mistaken, he speaks plenty in the ring when it comes to the fight aspect of things. Still waiting to be crowned AEW Champion, Cassidy is one of the promotions biggest stars and has arguably the best gimmick of them all.

Despite being a person preferring actions over words, we did get to see Cassidy speak plenty (for his standards) on the latest episode of Colt Cabana’s AOW podcast where he revealed some pretty interesting aspects of his personality.

When asked who his favorite wrestler was growing up, Cassidy answered: “The Rock…. From the Fast and Furious movies.” Undoubtedly influenced by ‘The People’s Champion’ growing up, Cassidy certainly didn’t pick up on those favorable promo skills and is quite hilariously a total opposite of The Rock.

Orange Cassidy also revealed that he learned his infamous styles in the ring “from GIFs” rather than from a prior influence or a trainer. That is one way to use GIFs to your advantage although unconventional.

Orange Cassidy is set to face Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing but will have to also deal with an uncomfortable third party in PAC, who he failed to eliminate from the equation in the number one contender match.

Orange Cassidy shared his thoughts on wrestling Chris Jericho

The triple threat can go either way, but Cassidy will have to make the most of this effort, given his poor history in title matches. Turning away from Kenny Omega and Pac, Chris Jericho is someone he had a huge feud with last year that ended in the former falling in a tub of Orange Mimosas.

A perfect feud for both characters, Cassidy recalls how it feels wrestling with a veteran with over 30 years of experience in the industry. “It’s alright,” Cassidy stated, without a further touch on Jericho’s in-ring skills or abilities to read a match.

Orange Cassidy was one of AEW’s biggest names starting off due to his popular gimmick. Although, he has fallen down the chain due to a lack of convincing pushes and his role as a babyface rather than heel or anti-hero.

We may see him finally getting the title at Double or Nothing, and he must take advantage of the triple threat stipulation to steal the victory.
