Stacey Solomon was left feeling red-faced when the costume she designed for fiancé Joe Swash to wear to their son Rex’s second birthday party turned out to be completely inappropriate.

The Loose Women star, 31, had been hard at work at coming up with the best outfit possible for the Moana-themed party and created an outfit inspired by giant purple crab Tamatoa, the main antagonist in the Disney film

However, she had her doubts at how child-friendly the costume really was, especially when Joe tried it on – and showcased his crotch in the process.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Stacey tried hard not to laugh as Joe, 39, modelled the skintight purple suit.

She said to the camera: ‘I’m sitting here trying to make Joe’s costume for Rex’s birthday, and I’m not sure it’s looking appropriate.’

Stacey then panned the camera to show her partner wearing the design in question, with a ‘censored’ sticker covering his crotch area.

‘Oh my God just tuck it away,’ she cried, horrified. ‘What the hell, just move it!’

Joe replied: ‘I don’t have anywhere to put it, it’s my penis!’

‘Just get rid of it, why is it there?’ his fiancé then responded in dismay.

And all while this was going on, Stacey’s older sons Zachary, 13, and Leighton, nine, could be heard giggling in the background – and we don’t blame them.

Stacey then shared a photo of the former EastEnders actor wearing the suit, now complete with purple tentacles and a googly eye headset, as he held onto a coconut to protect his modesty.

She captioned the post: ‘I’m trying so so hard guys but I don’t know if it’s my costume or Hoe but I’m crying – actual tears.

‘Maybe his shiny shells and claws will help bring it together.’

And it wasn’t over just yet, as Stacey later posted another video as she tried her best to sow the arms onto the costume while Joe attempted to stand as still as possible – although it seemed like an impossible task for him.

‘I can’t stay in this position. 100 percent, I can’t stay in this position,’ he said.

Stacey wrote: ‘I’m leaving this here tonight… I have no more energy left for this bloody costume.

‘I’ve been trying to sow these arms on in the right place for 2 hours but my model is an absolute jobs worth…’

It comes after the reality star stripped off with her Loose Women co-stars in a series of stunning unedited photos for a body positivity campaign.

After previously being introduced in 2017, the Loose Women’s Body Story campaign returned this month with a brand new set of images, both before and after the use of body tuning apps – exploring how we can make a change to ensure there is more transparency when posting edited images on social media.
