Rafael Nadal Unveils the Expansion of His Academy and Adds Two New Items in His Museum
20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has contributed to tennis in more than one way. His most prominent effort is building an avantgarde tennis academy in his hometown Mallorca, Spain.
Presently, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar is going through an extensive upgrading of the facility. After its completion, the complex will be home to many indoor clay courts.
Most significantly, the academy will advance young aspirants with the help of world-class coaches and state-of-the-art buildings. Many promising ATP stars, including Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime and Norway’s Casper Ruud, train there.

Rafael Nadal surveys the renovation at his tennis academy
Recently, Rafael Nadal visited the under-construction site to overview the work. He then shared a glimpse of what’s to become one of the world’s best indoor clay training arena. Impressively, the Spaniard wore the on-site attire on his visit.
However, the Rafa Nadal Academy is more than only a tennis training facility. With its dynamic activities, a sports museum, and more, the academy is also a sightseeing destination.
Furthermore, the Rafa Nadal Museum carries most of the tennis accolades the Spaniard has ever won. But the museum also has mementos from some of the greatest tennis players and other athletes of the world, including Roger Federer, Serena Williams, and Michael Jordan.

The Spanish World No.3 came back home after summing up all his lead-up tournaments for Roland-Garros. Also, he brought the Barcelona Open and the Italian Open trophies with him.
Moreover, Rafa announced that the two silver cups found their place in the museum. For this, he encouraged fans to visit and experience the ultimate sports arena.
In the video message, Nadal said, “I encourage you to come here, to visit the museum. It’s not just a tennis museum; it is much more than that; it is a sports museum. And at the same time, we have dynamic activities that are unique, and you will have a lot of fun.”
Records Nadal can make and break at the French Open 2021
The only tournament left on Rafa’s clay-court calendar for 2021 is the most important one for him too. In Spain, the 34-year-old is currently preparing for a record-extending 14th Grand Slam title at Roland-Garros.
Although he is the favorite in the tournament, he is also the most diligent and determined athlete. This year, he has the chance to overtake Federer and become the first male to claim 21 Grand Slam titles.
