‘All or Nothing!’- Dustin Poirier Hypes Up UFC’s New Poster for Conor McGregor Trilogy
Dustin Poirier will fight Conor McGregor in July as the duo is set to complete their trilogy at UFC 264. Poirier finished McGregor at UFC 257 in January to level the score against the Irishman. ‘The Notorious’ holds a win over ‘The Diamond’ dating back to 2014 as he was making his rise to the top of the UFC.
The official poster for the fight is released. Needless to say, fans are as hyped as ever as two of the very best in the world are set to collide for the third time inside the Octagon.
Poirier has formerly held the interim lightweight championship. He has been in an incredible run since moving up to the 155lbs division of the UFC after his first loss against ‘The Notorious’. As for McGregor, he has been a two-division UFC champion previously. One can’t deny the fact that he was one of the best fighters in the world during the early stages of his career.
Many believe McGregor is on borrowed time at the top as he is not motivated enough having achieved it all in the sport already. But the Irishman is one of a kind. It’s foolish to ever count him out. Fans can only hope that ‘Mystic Mac‘ becomes the savage again that he once was.
Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor 3: are we in for a heated build-up?
McGregor was uncharacteristically nice to Poirier during the build-up for their second fight, especially considering the heated exchanges they had during the first contest, it was a bit weird to see them being so cordial to each other during the pre-fight interactions.
However, there has been some back-and-forth recently between the duo. This might just turn the Irishman to his ‘Notorious’ persona yet again. One can argue that’s what suits him the best. As for Poirier, he will look to prove he is indeed the better fighter between the duo with a win in the trilogy and eventually fight for the undisputed gold again.
