Charlotte Dawson admits her ‘heart breaks’ as recreates baby photo of dad Les with her own son

CHARLOTTE Dawson has penned an emotional message remembering her late father as she recreated a photo of her with him with her own baby.

Comedian Les Dawson died in 1993, when Charlotte was just one, but the northern lass has been eager to make sure his legacy lives on.

Now a mother herself, the former Celebs Go Dating star has shared a sweet photo of her cradling baby Noah, in the same dressing gown her father used to hold her in when she was a tot.

She wrote: “So I’ve wanted to reenact this picture for so long of baba me & my daddy with me & my Noah in my dad’s dressing gown which I still wear.”

“I wish he was here so bad. He would be the best grandad to him, it breaks my heart so much,” she added.

“But I can’t wait for Noah to get to know all about his grandad Les… I know you’re around, but sometimes that just doesn’t cut it. I want you here.”

Fans were quick to support Charlotte as she remembered her father, telling her how proud he would be to see her grow into the mother she is.

One wrote: “He is looking down on you! I’m not spiritual in any sense, but the way Noah smiles, the way you smile, you can just tell, he is here, he is with you!”

“He’s right by your side, every step of the way,” said another.

“That brought a tear to my eye!” said another. “I honestly love you so real and funny!

“I’ve got a 4 week old son and watching how you are with gorgeous Noah is making me feel more normal for being a first time mum.”

Charlotte gave birth to Noah in January this year – her first child with fiance Matthew Sarsfield.

Since then, she’s been praised for her open (and always hilarious) discussion on being a new mum, including her baby belly, juggling breastfeeding with doing her make-up, and the ups and downs of parenthood.
