‘Congrats King’ – Skip Bayless Wastes No Time to Mock LeBron James as Lakers Begin Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers begin their playoff journey tonight. The Lakers enter the playoffs as the seventh seed, securing that spot by defeating the Golden State Warriors in the play-in tournament. Now they take on the Phoenix Suns, who are the second seed this year. LeBron James continues to recover from his injury, but is looking better with each passing game. And against the Suns, LeBron James got off to a hot start.

Skip Bayless takes shots at LeBron James…again

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James started the game strong, making three out of his four field goals against the Phoenix Suns. Of these field goals, two were threes that James often struggles with. James started the game strong with eight points. But as success follows James, as does his biggest critic Skip Bayless. Bayless took to Twitter to sarcastically praise James for his hot star, mocking him by using great hyperbole.

“LEBRON IS NOW 3-4 (2-2 FROM THREE!) WHILE PLAYING ON “ONE LEG.” IT’S A MIRACLE! NO HUMAN HAS EVER PULLED OFF SUCH A FEAT. CONGRATS, KING. JORDAN IS NOW A DISTANT SECOND GREATEST.”

Skip Bayless has made a career by being LeBron James’ harshest critic. He often finds ways to fault LeBron James, whether he is at his best or his worst. Bayless has been a popular sports commentator for his long time, but he’s known best for his outlandish and entertaining critiques of LeBron James. James has never acknowledged Bayless or his criticism, but insiders have suggested that he has heard the man speak before.

James looking to find his form

For LeBron James, this series is an opportunity to find his composure. James is coming off a high ankle sprain, the most significant injury of his career. Since his return, James has looked good, but it is clear that he is still not 100%. That became apparent during the Lakers’ narrow win over the Golden State Warriors. Over the course of the series against the Phoenix Suns, LeBron can find his form once again and get in the groove for a deep playoff run.
