Daniel Cormier, Baker Mayfield, Kevin Holland and Other UFC Stars React as Rob Font Dominates Cody Garbrandt at UFC Fight Night

The title picture at bantamweight is heating up with a good number of fighters in contention for the title shot. In the main event at UFC Vegas 27, former champion Cody Garbrandt took on Rob Font in the hopes of working his way back up to a title shot.

No Love’ lost the belt in his very first title defense against arch-rival TJ Dillashaw and succumbed to two more losses. He recently bounced back brilliantly with a buzzer-beating knockout win over Assuncao. Font, on the other hand will be aiming to make a statement with a win over a former champion and an elite 135-pound fighter.

The first round was pretty evenly matched for both men as they landed a few good shots and started to get reads on their opponent. However, Garbrandt was able to secure multiple takedowns towards the end of round one.

Early on in round two, ‘No Love’ was able to secure a takedown. Once Font was able to get back on his feet, the second round was all his. Font capitalized on Garbrandt slowing down as he was in control for the majority of round three.

Rounds four and five were more of the same. Font controlled the fight and was able to pick apart ‘No Love’ who did not have the gas tank to push Font all the way.

Font now extends his win streak to 4-0 with a dominant win over a former champion in Cody Garbrandt.
