Former world number one and twenty-three time grand slam champion Serena Williams, who struggled to perform on the red dirt this year, is hoping to create a solid impact at the French Open that starts next week.
The legendary American player attended the Monaco Grand Prix earlier today with her husband Alexis Ohanian. Serena also got a chance to wave the chequered flag, indicating the end of race. Max Verstappen won the grand prix.

The American also mentioned her preparations for the upcoming French Open. Despite a couple of tough losses, Serena remained optimistic about her chances in Paris.
“We’re all training really, really hard. It’s always good to see amazing athletes and congratulations to (Max), so it’s always good to see and just be inspired really”, Serena explained.

Also, the veteran tennis player remained extremely humble when asked if she would like to give any advice to Max Verstappen.
“I don’t think I am in the position to give advice right now in this arena. But, um, just good job to all the racers. I think everyone did really well”, concluded the American.
Serena Williams looks to win her 24th grand slam title at Roland Garros. With the ever-rising competition on the WTA tour, the American’s chances of winning another major title are getting harder and harder.
But, the experience of Serena to steer through difficult moments is what made her legendary. If the American can survive the initial round challenges, she can go deep in the tournament.
Last year in Paris, Serena withdrew from her second round contest against Tsvetana Pironkova due to Achilles tendon injury.
