It was Europe’s night of nights yesterday, as a bevy of incredible performers took the Eurovision 2021 stage and delivered showstopping performances.

Since the competition was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, everyone came back this year with a bang.

Like every year, fashion was a core part of the evening and this time it seemed that silver was the go-to style choice for many.

Crystals and shine were used in a variety of different ways on quite a few artists as they tried to stand out on the Rotterdam stage.

The silver-wearing countries included Cyprus, Albania, Malta, Moldova, Croatia and Norway, who all had their own unique use of the colour.

Anxhela Peristeri took to the stage decked in a silver bodysuit with tassels made of crystals to represent Albania with her song Karma.

She stood out against the darker colours of her song’s staging thanks to her eye-catching costume.

Albina dazzled with her song Tick-Tock, representing her country of Croatia.

While Albina’s costume didn’t have a lot of silver, the silver she did have made a big impact thanks to the fact that it was strategically positioned. She was dressed in a full-body stocking with a separate top and a bikini bottom.

Elena Tsagrinou from Cyprus wowed audiences with her catchy track El Diablo and her showstopping outfit dripping with crystals.

Her costume wouldn’t have been complete without silver fringing, which was all carefully placed over the top of a nude bodysuit. Despite its delicate appearance, the outfit was strong enough to allow her to execute some fierce dance moves.

Destiny, 18, impressed the international audience with her incredible singing ability and her silver minidress had her standing out from the crowd even more.

Destiny represented Malta with the song Je me casse and she delivered a vivacious performance.

Serving Paris Hilton vibes, Natalia Gordienko performed the track SUGAR for Moldova. She wore a silver mini dress to complement her blonde bombshell look. The figure-hugging piece featured a deep V neckline and elegant long sleeves.

TIX – real name Andreas Haukeland – sang for Norway, with his track Angel being about depression. He stood out with his massive angel wings and white fur coat, but the silver outfit he was wearing underneath couldn’t be missed.

The Dutch actress Chantal Janzen, who was one of the hosts of the evening, even opted for silver for one of her outfits.
