“I’m Retiring” – Britt Baker Takes A Dig at Christian Cage and AEW

Dr. Britt Baker DMD is on her way to face AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing. But before that, Baker threatened the promotion with an early retirement if her wishes were not fulfilled.

The dispute is over action figures. In sports entertainment, the action figures are not only great merchandise but an asset. In the past, Baker has expressed her disdain over not getting one, while Cody Rhodes already getting four variants.

Baker previously called out Jazwares, the company that produces the AEW action figures, over the situation. She also joked on AEW how Cody and Brandi Rhodes’ unborn child would get an action figure before she does.

Recently, she taunted the promotion again. Turns out, AEW’s latest superstar and industry veteran, Christian Cage is likely to get a figure before Baker does.

She wrote in retaliation, “If Christian Cage gets an AEW action figure before me, I’m retiring.” Baker is the first female superstar AEW ever signed and is the ‘Role Model’ of the women’s division. Her popularity is unparalleled.

Here we should mention that after months, Jazwares announced Baker would be getting her own single pack figures and a Ringside 2-Pack later this year. The news made Baker very happy before Cage’s news broke out.

Superstars react to Britt Baker and her claims

Following the tweet, Baker got multiple responses. Jazwere’s partner Jeremy Padawer joked how Baker would retire soon under these circumstances. He replied, “Update… Dr. Britt Baker retires from professional wrestling age 30. (Looks no older than 26 however.)”

Baker’s long-time nemesis Thunder Rosa responded by asking to retire, “Just do it now… I can’t help you with that….” Baker’s long-time friend Dax Harwood joked Baker is copying him.

Harwood once wrote a “strongly worded” tweet regarding the lack of opportunities for FTR in the Tag Division. “Every team in the tag team has gotten a tag team title shot, except us. We’ve been ranked in the top 5 since we dropped the belts to the execs. If Mox & Kingston jump us in line too, I’ll quit the biz!” the tweet said.

Dax later admitted the tweet was nothing but intoxicated rumbling and he deleted the tweet.

Coming back to Baker, it is unlikely that a promotion newbie would receive a figure before Baker. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
