Katie Price was pretty entertained as the UK received absolutely zero points in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, and even reckons that she could have done better.

James Newman entered this year’s competition with the song Embers but scored nil points after failing to stir votes from the public or the specialist juries.

Rather than commiserate with James over the disastrous result, Katie couldn’t help but laugh while giving a running commentary alongside fiance Carl Woods.

Sitting on the sofa with her partner, Katie said: ‘That’s actually funny. I reckon they should put me up to Eurovision, in a black catsuit this time. I’d smash it.’

Of course, Katie was referring to her own stab at Eurovision in 2005 when she wore a sequin-studded pink catsuit to sing Not Just Anybody. However, she lost out to Javine Hylton who entered with Touch My Fire.

‘They should have had me on Eurovision, knocked Javine off and then I would have been on that stage, we might have got a point but never mind,’ she added in her Instagram stories.

Turning the camera to her unimpressed fiance, Katie asked: ‘What do you think Carl?’ to which he replied: ‘I’m gonna be rocking up in a pink latex outfit soon, get some points going.’

Carl added: ‘This programme’s toilet, man,’ as Katie agreed: ‘It is.’

The former glamour model then filmed James cheering after being told he’d received zero points, and laughed: ‘I don’t know why he’s happy, he’s lost.’

Summing his review of this year’s Eurovision, Carl said: ‘I just can’t believe that there’s a geezer who’s done worse than you on this programme.’

An offended Katie asked: ‘Worse than me? What do you mean?’

‘There’s a geezer on here, who’s got zero points, done worse than you and he weren’t even wearing a ridiculous outfit. It’s very funny,’ Carl replied dead-pan.

This year’s Eurovision was won by Italy’s Maneskin band, who received a whopping 524 points. However, their triumph has been shrouded in controversy after lead singer Damiano David denied ‘using cocaine’ after a viral moment during the show.
