Ex Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has shared that she is looking into surrogacy with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney in order to have her sixth child.

The 40-year-old, who previously quashed baby rumours, appears to have changed her mind when it comes to becoming a mum again.

However, after a ‘traumatic’ birth with her fifth child, daughter Dylan-Jorge, seven, Kerry has admitted she would be unable to ‘physically carry’ another pregnancy so the pair are exploring other options.

Kerry explained: ‘I am going to get my eggs frozen because I would like Ryan to have a child but I couldn’t physically carry it.

‘So we are looking into surrogacy but we’re in no rush.’

When it came to the complications she experienced last time with potentially-fatal pre-eclampsia, the TV personality also pointed out: ‘Why put myself through that when I could go through surrogacy?’

Kerry met Ryan, 32, on the Bumble dating app three years ago, and they got engaged in August last year.

She is also mum to daughters Molly-Marie, 19, and Lilly-Sue, 18, with ex-husband Brian McFadden, as well as daughter Heidi, 14, and son Maxwell, 13, with her second husband Mark Croft.

Dylan-Jorge’s dad was Kerry’s third husband, George Kay, who died in 2019.

Speaking on an Instagram Live seen by The Mirror, Kerry also shared that she and Ryan had ‘not organised anything yet’ when it comes to their wedding plans.

The former I’m A Celebrity winner instead spoke about finally making a move back up north from West Sussex, in order to be closer to her family.

Kerry is eyeing up a place in Hale, Cheshire to move to at the end of June.

She explained: ‘I’ve been down south for 13 years now, all my kids are proper southern.

‘Before I met Ryan, I was moving up north and then I met Ryan and I was like, “You’ve given me a reason to stay down here” – and I did.

‘I’ve got a couple of other friends here but it is time to go home.’

‘I can’t wait for a new fresh start.’

Kerry also revealed that she was turned down for Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, describing herself as ‘really shocked’.

Regardless, she is keen to have another reality TV show again and is also keeping herself busy with her own subscription site on OnlyFans and her clothing line, Kerry’s Boutique, which she is expanding through a new plus-size range.
