Oscar De La Hoya Fires at Dana White, Challenges Him for a Boxing Bout

It seems the rift between Oscar De La Hoya and the UFC’s Dana White has caught gotten worse. ‘Golden Boy’ had a powerful urge to face the retired MMA star and UFC hotshot, Georges St-Pierre.

However, despite his retirement, St-Pierre still comes under contract with the UFC. And consequently White doesn’t want the Canadian Mixed Martial Artist to take part in a fight with De La Hoya, who is eager to make his comeback to the sport of boxing.

That said, the former boxer recently took a jibe at White and astonishingly challenged him for a fight.

Taking the feud to Twitter, he wrote, .@danawhite Quit blocking @GeorgesStPierre’s chance to fight. How about we get into the ring first little B*#ch then after I kick your ass, I’ll fight a real man #DeLaHoyaGSP #LetGSPFight”

Lately, celebrity and crossover fights have become a popular trend in the boxing world. And, ‘Golden Boy’ himself wishes to take part in the same.

Over the past few months, he’s engaged in talks with multiple combat sports personalities to stage an exhibition boxing encounter.

However, De La Hoya’s focus shifted to UFC’s greatest fighter, Georges St-Pierre. And he showed a strong urge to take on ‘Rush’ in a pure boxing bout.

But it seems like White won’t enjoy seeing one of his best UFC fighters in a boxing clash against someone like ‘Golden Boy’.

Will Georges St-Pierre have any chances of beating Oscar De La Hoya in a boxing match?

‘GSP’ retired from MMA in 2019 but he still keeps himself fit and active, thus staying relevant to the fight world. In his vast MMA career, GSP remained a prime grappler. But in his concluding years, ‘Rush’ worked on his striking game pretty well.

Yet, going into a full-fledged boxing bout with someone like De La Hoya might prove to be challenging for the MMA legend.

‘Golden Boy’ was counted among the best in the business while he was in his prime. And the world has seen how elite he was once he took up the ring space.

That said, De La Hoya still possesses every ability to beat someone at his own game and ‘GSP’ might fall prey to the same.
