Pete Davidson takes swipe at Chrissy Teigen on Saturday Night Live amid Courtney Stodden trolling scandal

Pete Davidson made a savage swipe at Chrissy Teigen in the latest episode of Saturday Night Live.

The comedian wasted no time in referring to the model’s recent social media scandal during the show’s Weekend Update and joked about her being cancelled as a result.

‘If there’s one good thing about the pandemic besides getting Chrissy Teigen out of our lives…’ Pete joked, before adding: ‘I’m really upset’.

Chrissy came under fire earlier this month after unearthed abusive tweets allegedly sent from her to Courtney Stodden, who was just 16 at the time, in 2011.

The mum-of-two, without specifically addressing any alleged details, made a general public apology, telling Courtney that she hopes they can ‘heal’.

‘Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls**t in front of the entire world,’ Chrissy wrote. ‘I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be.

‘I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.

‘I have worked so hard to give you guys joy and be beloved and the feeling of letting you down is nearly unbearable, truly. These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but god I will try!!’

The 35-year-old continued: ‘I have tried to connect with Courtney privately but since I publicly fueled all this, I want to also publicly apologize. I’m so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am.

‘And I am so sorry I let you guys down. I will forever work on being better than I was 10 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago.’

Courtney, who recently came out as non-binary, hit headlines a decade ago when at the age of 16, they married The Green Mile star Doug Hutchison, who was 50 years old at the time.

Their marriage in 2011 made Courtney a target for abuse and mockery, and Courtney, 26, recently called out Chrissy for trolling them on social media.

It is thought that the abusive tweets allegedly from Chrissy shamed 16-year-old Courtney for this relationship.

Saturday Night Live airs on NBC in the US.
