The main event encounter between Josh Taylor and Jose Ramirez unquestionably stayed true to the buzz created around it. The bout between the two went until the last bell and both the pugilists showcased every weapon from their arsenal. Yet, Ramirez fell short of claiming a win in the biggest and perhaps the most important fight of his career.

The 28-year-old will only like to fight some top-notch contenders like these so that he could add constant wins to his resume. And subsequently, fight for the title again.

Can Jose Ramirez still become the undisputed champ of the 140-pound roster?

Ramirez ranks among the hottest talents in the super-lightweight division. Even after scoring a loss against Taylor, the former champ still has a lot left in the bag to add on to his decorated boxing run.

Additionally, Taylor expressed his desire to move up to welterweight after becoming the undisputed champ. Citing that, all the straps at this weight class might be vacant and that will put Ramirez on top of contention for an undisputed fight again.
