Today a lot of people learned Kit Harington is in the upcoming Marvel film Eternals, after the first proper teaser for the epic was released today.

We may have caught a glimpse of Angelina Jolie as Thena and spotted Gemma Chan’s Sersi in the superhero film’s recent inclusion in a Marvel teaser – but our dear Jon Snow? Crickets.

All that was flipped today, for at least a millisecond, when Kit made a very quick appearance as Dane Whitman alongside Gemma, as he reunited with Game Of Thrones co-star Richard Madden (who plays Ikaris) for the first official teaser for the film.

He wasn’t doing anything but pouting at the camera, which is, quite frankly, what Kit absolutely aces, however this alone was enough to get the fandom salivating and wanting more, more, we tells ya.

We had previously seen Kit on set in London, as Eternals cameras rolled in January last year, but this is a real treat – which arrived not long after a wider Marvel teaser debuted the first look at the project earlier this month.

This captivating trailer, posted by Marvel on Monday afternoon, sees a star-studded list of actors come together to tell the story of the Eternals who, following an unexpected tragedy, are forced out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.

And here we thought Thanos was the biggest threat to us.

An ominous voiceover tells us: ‘Throughout the years we have never interfered, until now,’ as Gemma and Richard’s characters descend on Earth in an other-worldly ship.

Skeeter Davis’s The End Of The World acted as soundtrack to the trailer, so if that doesn’t set the scene….

We were also treated to another shot of a sword-wielding Angelina, who, as Thena, is sporting some rather dazzling platinum blonde locks as she embodies a Marvel superhero.

Also starring in the film – directed by Nomadland’s Chloe Zhao – is Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee and Barry Keoghan.

The official plot details for the movie describes these Eternals as ‘ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years’ and that following the events of Avengers: Endgame they pay us a little visit.

And we cannot wait to welcome them with open arms.

Eternals is scheduled for release November 5.
