Lorraine Kelly has confirmed she’ll be appearing on the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox alongside her daughter Rosie.

The 61-year-old broadcaster announced the news on today’s show as she interviewed guest Nick Grimshaw, who has also appeared on the Channel 4 programme alongside his niece Liv.

‘You totally forget your on because it takes a few hours,’ Nick shared as he discussed filming. ‘I’m always eating and people are always complaining that I’m eating with my open.’

‘Rosie and I have been asked to do this and because we both love the show so much so we thought let’s just go for it,’ Lorraine revealed, speaking of her 26-year-old daughter.

Lorraine then asked Nick for some top tips, with the Radio 1 DJ revealing it’s crucial to get good snacks.

‘You’re there for a while because you’ve got to watch the week in telly,’ he said. ‘Obviously when we watch it it’s just an hour, but you’ve got to watch loads of stuff.

‘Channel 4 pay for the snacks, whatever you want,’ Nick added.

Speaking of snacks, earlier this year Tom Malone of the Malone family revealed that they like to arrange their snacks into risqué shapes for eagle-eyed viewers to spot.

The Manchester clan has been making viewers laugh for six seasons, with mum Julie, dad Tom Sr, sons Tom Jr and Shaun – not to mention dogs Dave, Lucy, Izzy and Joe – all becoming fan favourites.

They’re known for putting out trays of cakes and sweet treats in their front room during their appearances on the show, but it turns out there’s something we’ve been missing all along.

Speaking to fans on his TikTok page, Tom said: ‘We have, me and my dad before, put the cakes in different positions and different shapes to see if any eagle-eyed viewers would actually notice.’

He added: ‘Sometimes quite rude shapes.’

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
