Mare of Easttown on Sky Atlantic has gripped fans with its dramatic episodes and star-studded cast.
The seven-part HBO crime drama is packed full of familiar faces and big names from the big and small screen, with Kate Winslet leading the way as Detective Mare Sheehan.
The series sees her character investigating a local murder in a small Pennsylvania town while trying to keep her own life together.
There are plenty more famous actors appearing in the show too, from Evan Peters and Guy Pearce to Julianne Nicholson.
Here’s the cast in full:
Kate Winslet (Mare Sheehan)
Kate Winslet, 45, makes her return to the small screen in this show more than a decade after starring in 2011’s mini-series Mildred Pierce.
Her career is iconic. Her film career started playing Rose in Titanic, going on to star in Oscar-winning films like Ang Lee’s Sense and Sensibility, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Most recently, she was the lead alongside Saiorse Ronan in angst-ridden drama Ammonite.
Julianne Nicholson (Lori Ross)
You might recognise Julianne Nicholson (49) from her stint in Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Detective Megan Wheeler, although that’s certainly not all.
She’s also appeared on TV in the likes of Boardwalk Empire, Masters of Sex, Eyewitness and Ally McBeal, as well as big screen roles in Black Mass and I, Tonya.
She was also in the star-studded August: Osage County alongside Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.
Jean Smart (Helen Sheehan)
Jean Smart (69) is a veteran of the stage and screen, with TV appearances as Lana Gardner in Frasier and Regina Newley in Samantha Who, as well as 24, Fargo and Legion.
In terms of movie roles, she’s been in cult-favourite I Heart Huckabees, Sweet Home Alabama, A Simple Favor and more.
Angourie Rice (Siobhan Sheehan)
Angourie Rice, 20, first rose to fame as Holly March in The Nice Guys back in 2016, and she’s since starred in the likes of Spider-Man: Homecoming and the sequel Far From Home.
She’ll also be familiar to Black Mirror fans, as she was part of Miley Cyrus’ episode Rachel Jack and Ashley Too.
Evan Peters (Colin Zabel)
Most recently, Evan Peters, 34, reprised his X-Men role of Pietro Maximoff in WandaVision, so comic book film fans will know him well.
He’s also been a huge part of American Horror Story, having starred in eight episodes of the spooky hit anthology series.
Guy Pearce (Richard Ryan)
Where to start? Well, Guy Pearce, 53, started out on TV as Mike Young in Neighbours. He’ll be reuniting with Kate Winslet after their turn together in Mildred Pierce – in which she played the title role, and Pearce played her lover Monty Beragon.
As well as his roles in the likes of Iron Man 3 and Prometheus, his credits also include LA Confidential, Memento and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Cailee Spaeny (Erin McMenamin)
Cailee Spaeny, 22, hasn’t appeared in many other TV roles to date, besides appearing as Lyndon in Devs.
However, she’s made a few big screen appearances, including in Bad Times at the El Royale, Pacific Rim: Uprising, Vice and On The Basis of Sex.
David Denman (Frank Sheehan)
As well as Outcast and Traffic Light, David Denman, 47, is best known to The Office US fans as Pam’s ex Roy Anderson.
He’s no stranger to films either, with credits in a range of movies such as Logan Lucky, Big Fish and Brighburn.
John Douglas Thompson (Chief Carter)
John Douglas Thompson has been highly praised for his work on the stage, and even got nominated for a Tony for his performance in August Wilson’s Jitney.
He’s appeared on the big screen in Michael Clayton and The Bourne Legacy – among others – and his TV roles include For Life and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Patrick Murney (Kenny McMenamin)
Patrick Murney, 34, is best known for his stint in Netflix’s Seven Seconds, which went on to win a Primetime Emmy.
Elsewhere, he’s appeared in episodes of Suits, Godfather of Harlem and Public Morals – but Mare of Easttown of his most major roles.
Joe Tippett (John Ross)
Joe Tippett, 39, is another cast members with experience on the big screen, as he’s credited in Monsters and Men and Patsy & Loretta.
He was cast in musical drama Rise as Sam Strickland, and also featured in four episodes of The Morning Show.
Neal Huff (Father Dan Hastings)
Neal Huff will be known to US viewers from his appearances in the likes of The Wire, Girls, Billions and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
For cinema fans, he’s been cast in films such as Meek’s Cutoff, Beach Rats, Spotlight and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Ruby Cruz (Jess Riley)
Ruby Cruz is yet to have such a prominent role, although she’s still appeared in episodes of Blue Bloods and Castle Rock.
Elsewhere, she’s also been cast as a lead in the upcoming Willow series.
Mare of Easttown continues on Sky Atlantic tonight at 9pm.
