Monaco GP “Sucked B*lls” – Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton is always favorite to win every race over the weekend. However, it wasn’t meant to be this time at the Monaco Grand Prix, as he finished the race all the way down in seventh place. Choosing to look at the positives of such a weekend, he shared a strong message on Twitter about learning from his mistakes and being better next time.

It was a bad weekend for Mercedes all around, as Valtteri Bottas, having started in third place, was forced to retire from the race due to jammed tire. While a stroke of bad luck ruined the Finn’s race, Hamilton’s entire weekend in Monte Carlo was a bad one. He struggled with tires all weekend round and qualified in seventh place.

After a disappointing race for both Hamilton and the Silver Arrows, the number 44 driver took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the weekend.

The Knight wrote, “Things could be so much worse. For sure today sucked b**ls but it’s days like this when we learn the most and grow the most. Each and every person in this team is feeling it and we’ll do what we have always done. Unite and come back and fight!”

Hamilton feels the need to concentrate on the next race

A poor pitstop strategy decision from Mercedes made it difficult for him to race all weekend, and the Briton was understandably upset with his performance. So, when he was asked about his reaction to the pitstop, he didn’t have much to say.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Hamilton said, “I have no reaction to it. We talk about it internally and work on it and try to come back stronger. As a team, we were behind our performance today and now we are concentrating on the next race. Congratulations to Max and his Team.”

He added, “It’s cooler there, it’s a very smooth track. We could have problems there again. We have to work to get these problems under control.”

The British driver has now fallen down to second place in the championship, four points behind the leader. Max Verstappen, his archrival, now sits at the top stop of the standings, for the first time in his career, with 105 points. Hamilton would be hoping to have a better result in Azerbaijan to claim the lead back for himself. But Baku, too, is a street circuit, and it remains to be seen whether he can find his charm again.
