Gervonta Davis Sends a Classy Message to Rival Ryan Garcia Regarding Mental Health Issues

The lightweight division is easily one of the most exciting in the sport right now. The personalities of the top contenders and champions only add to this. Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis are at the forefront of this, showing their class in the ring and their trash-talking ability outside.

The two share a public rivalry since Ryan Garcia called out ‘Tank’ after his last win. They then engaged in an ugly war of words on social media. However, since then, Ryan Garcia has struggled with mental health issues, and now, Davis has shown his class with a touching message of support.

The 24-0 champion spoke to TMZ Sports on YouTube and gave his thoughts on his rival. “I can’t really speak on his situation because it’s something I’ve never been through. But mental illness is hard, it’s global. So I’m just wishing him the best,” said Davis.

‘Tank’ then addressed the possibility of them fighting each other by saying, “I’m going to continue to do, you know, focus on my fight. We’ll meet with him if it’s meant and if it’s not, then so be it. But best wishes to him.”
