“I Didn’t Get My Camera”: Serena Williams Awestruck at Monaco Grand Prix’s Pit Stop
Former world number one and 23-time grand slam winner Serena Williams, has recently appeared at the Monaco Grand Prix along with husband Alexis Ohanian. The legendary American is the brand ambassador of Aston Martin and was given the privilege to support her best friend Lewis Hamilton.

Serena also had the opportunity to wave the chequered flag, signaling the end of the race as Max Verstappen won the Monaco Grand Prix. However, the American, who was present along with team of Aston Martin, was enjoying the moment when Sebastian Vettel came for a pit stop.
“I didn’t get my camera”, Serena said.

Serena was later interviewed at the grand prix, where she congratulated Verstappen along with all the racers for an exciting race. Preparing for the French Open this year along with coach Patrick Mouratoglou, the American appeared to have taken a time off from intense training.
Yesterday, Serena also attended the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, and even did commentary duties for the matchup between Grigor Dimitrov and Cristian Garin. The veteran had fun banter with Dimitrov during the match-talk.
Serena will have to face intense competition from youngsters at French Open
Since the semi-final run at the Australian Open this year, Serena Williams played at the Italian Open. The American was defeated by Nadia Podoroska in straight sets. Later at the Emilia-Romagna Open, the American reached the second round, where she was beaten by the young qualifier, Lisa Pigato.
Even though it’s unfortunate for Serena to have back-to-back defeats, she has an impressive record at Roland Garros. The American won the title three times in her career(2002, 2013, 2015).
By winning the 2015 French Open, Serena became the third player in the women’s singles era to have won all the grand slams at least thrice.
But, there are meagre chances of the American clinching her fourth Roland Garros title this year. With intense competition from youngsters like Ashleigh Barty, Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and other clay-courters, Serena will look to test her chances at Wimbledon rather than in Paris.
