Mike Tyson Urges Georges St-Pierre to Fight Kamaru Usman: “I Think He’ll Do Okay”

In just a short span of time, Kamaru Usman has risen to the peak of the UFC welterweight division. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has fought the toughest of contenders until now and he’s proven his class to one and all.

Recently, Mike Tyson alongside Ali Abdelaziz and Henry Cejudo shed some light on Usman’s future on the Hotboxin podcast. And his potential clash with the UFC legend Georges St-Pierre.

In this podcast, Ali Abdelaziz asked Tyson to give a message to ‘GSP’. To which Tyson responded, “I say face this. If this one’s his fear, I think he should face it,”

“I think he’ll do okay.”

The trio stayed on the same page while discussing whether Usman should move up to the middleweight division. All of them felt that ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is in his prime and this might also be the ideal time for him to fight Georges St-Pierre.

In fact, the UFC welterweight champ has himself asserted on booking his dream fight against ‘GSP’. He acknowledges the Canadian mixed martial artist as one of the greatest of this game. And this is predominantly why Usman feels this fight is important for his legacy.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’s callout has reached ‘GSP’ and he’s firmly cut down the former’s wish to fight him. The 40-year-old now just wishes to spend time with his family and enjoy his retirement to the fullest. Citing that it seems Usman’s dream to fight ‘Rush’ might never turn into reality.
