Ahead of the anticipated reboot of Sex and the City, And Just Like That…, Sarah Jessica Parker has reminded us of a rare momento from the show we’d all but forgotten about.

The star, who played lead character Carrie Bradshaw over the original series’ six seasons and two feature films, posted a picture of a damaged blue-soled Manolo Blahnik shoe.

She simply wrote: ‘Unearthed.’

If you’re scratching your head wondering WTF Sarah was sharing, cast your mind to series four when Carrie was dating Aidan Shaw (played by John Corbett).

We’ll give you a few seconds to wistfully revisit Aidan…

Alright, bringing you back, fans of Sarah’s quickly realised the mangled Manolo was from the episode where Carrie’s expensive sandal was eaten by Aidan’s dog, Pete.

An Instagram account dedicated to the outfits of Sex and the City believed such a treasure belonged in a museum, as they replied: ‘Donate them to the Smithsonian!’

Another was having some very vivid flashbacks of that era, noting: ‘Pete! circa! rogaine! speedstick! CARRIE’S OUTFIT AND HAIR!!!!!! ✨❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖✨ ICONIC.’

Series co-stars Kristin Davis (who played Charlotte York) added some dancing and heart emoji while Willie Garson (Stanford Blatch) wrote: ‘Amazing.’

It comes ahead of the HBO Max reboot which will see Sarah and Kristin joined by co-star Cynthia Nixon (who played Miranda Hobbes).

However, Kim Cattrall, who played legend Samantha Jones, will not be appearing in the reboot.

Rumours of a rift with Sarah were fuelled when Kim said the cast were ‘never friends’ and that Parker ‘could have been nicer’ after she turned down another movie.

Still, more names have been added to the cast sheet, with former Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramírez tipped to play comedian Che Diaz in the reboot.

Suggesting he was out of the project, Jason Lewis, who portrayed Smith Jerrod in the original series (which ran from 1998 to 2004), confirmed his character will not appear in the sequel show.

However Chris North provided fans with hope that Big – Carrie’s husband – could return to the small screen, with the actor writing on Instagram: ‘Everything changes – including announcements in the rags.’

Amid speculation of Big’s return, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star John seemingly confirmed that Aidan will be back on the scene.

So we’ll just go back to daydreaming about potential Aidan and Carrie and Big drama now. Thank you.

And Just Like That… will air on HBO Max.
