Aldi is selling a hanging rope seat for those who missed out on its egg chair

ALDI is selling a hanging garden chair after the supermarket’s popular hanging egg chair sold out in a flash.

The Gardenline Hanging Rope Seat is available to pre-order online today and costs just £39.99.

The launch comes after Aldi shoppers were left disappointed when they missed out on the supermarket’s £149 hanging egg chair.

The Specialbuys favourite first went on sale last year, with celebrity fans Mrs Hinch and Stacey Soloman helping to boost sales, and has since returned to the website several times and sold out in a matter of days.

Aldi said another similar item will be back in stock from 4 July but with a higher price tag of £249.99.

However, the new rope chair, which comes in at a bargain £39.99, could be the answer for shoppers who have missed out on the egg chair previously.

The egg chair sold out when it was last on sale – but Aldi will launch a similar item in July

The product is an online-only exclusive, so it won’t be available to buy from your local Aldi supermarket.

Aldi said the garden seat, which is made out of rope, is selling fast, with more than 100 snapped up in the last 24 hours.

The chair comes with a ceiling mount, chain and all fixings, and will have to be assembled at home.

Shoppers will also have to pay a £3.95 large item delivery fee, bringing the total cost for the garden furniture to £43.94.

B&M is selling a similar garden seat in black at a cheaper £30 but the retailer doesn’t offer online shopping so consumers will have to find their nearest store to snap up that bargain.

Other Aldi Special Buy garden items that will be available for sale from tomorrow include a £99 gazebo and a grill and fire pit combo for £229.99.

Eager Aldi customers were left fuming last month after there was a delay in the hanging egg chair going on sale.

The chair was eventually restocked online – but customers had to move quickly to beat other shoppers.

Groupon slashed its garden furniture prices this month as Brits prepared their outdoor spaces for the summer.
